Close Combat Wins Fights with no Frills
If you watch the news, you see that the world is a dangerous place. Reports abound on crime, terrorist attacks, wars…all lying behind all the hype about celebrities. Close combat training is more important than ever. It would appear that the wolf is, indeed, just on the other side of the door.
Most people embrace the idea of self defense, though they may differ in the particulars. Some of us have seen the necessity of knowing hand to hand combat–seeing the shortcomings of carrying weapons. The problem is that most martial arts forms contain a lot of fluff.
Some of us have learned that lesson the hard way. So did Captain Chris Pizzo. Adopting the philosophy that a man is never beaten until he gives up, he sought to find the best no-frills form of fighting out there. He cut through the fluff to find what works.
The central idea behind his technique dates back to World War 2. The United States was joining the war, and the Allies had a special conference on one subject. They needed to know the best way to win in close quarters combat. This led to a study of several different styles of fighting to find the essential ways of winning. This led to the fighting styles of the Green Berets, the British Special Forces, and the Spetsnaz.
This was the root of Close Combat Training as much as it was the beginning of the close combat styles for the Allied Forces. Basically, Captain Chris took their results and further refined it into what we now call Close Combat Training.
Now you may ask if this technique works or not. Based on the testimonials from soldiers and mercenaries, assassins and normal people, it looks like it does.
Fear no man,
Captain Chris Pizzo
World Leader in Self Defense
